I played most of back in the day, but damn if the story was hella long, and I got distracted and lost track of what was going on, and just dropped it 🙁
this game had some seriously awesome cutscenes.
Same thing here, the game was cool but I got so fucking sick of the random monster battles. I only got a third of the way through it before I quit out of disgust.

Black Mage was based on Orco. True story.
Black mage was based off of classic pointy-hat wizard style…same for Orko. it’s a case of different artists coming up with similar designs, nothing more.

I at least got through this game. I couldn’t make myself get past the 1st disc on part 8. Not that it was hard, it was just extremely boring. To me 8 was just a big disappointment from VII.
I donno why, but when I look at this pic I wonder where the lion and toto are.
funny you should mention that…this game introduced a new FF race…the Moomba…little humanoid lions.
I completed this and I think it was one of the best final fantasy games of all time…

It was pretty good. Can’t remember the story at all, though.
something about artificial humans being mass produced for war by a Saiyan crossdresser who was planning on terraforming the world to be like his dead home only to be defeated by his twin brother who has amnesia. Also there was a dude with red dreadlocks that stabbed everything everywhere everytime. …and chicks with horns…except the one that had her horn cut off when she was adopted by the ugliest queen ever.
