That fancy woman would be Madame de Pompadour in that episode

    Luke Magnifico

    So fancy.

    Also, clockwork man.

Not a bad show, when it isn’t featuring aliens designed by eleven year old kids…

    GrandAdmiralThrawn

This is not my doctor who.

    Queensly

    @GrandAdmiralThrawn: Of course not. S’MINE!

    nyoki

    I love this Dr. Who.

    HoChunk

Frankly, I wish Eccleston had stuck around.

    ack

Eccleston… I also wish he had stayed on. He was serious and sombre, and that was a nice change.

Sweet Jesus! Nested comments? When did this function crawl to the surface??

    Annarchy

@GrandAdmiralThrawn: You can have all the other Dr. Whos. I will take this one. I am so sad that he’s gone now. WAH!

    Tyger42

@Annarchy: Ditto. Almost manic energy he brought to the role was utterly fantastic. Chris was great. David is better.

    Kishi

Mmm, Sophia Myles. She’s pretty hot.

    MrPsychic

Sorry, but my nerd rage is boiling. His name is NOT “Dr. Who”, it is The Doctor. The only time they say “Dr. Who”, it’s an in-joke when he says his name is The Doctor and they reply “Doctor Who?”

    Puulaahi

    She is a total babe.

    Annarchy

@Tyger42: Yes. The running! There’s so much running! HAHA!

@MrPsychic: But that’s the show name. Geez. Your nerd rage boileth over.

    outofocus

@HoChunk: Me too. Damn his short attention span.

The episode is called “The Girl in the Fireplace”.

The actress with him was also in that short-lived series “Moonlight”.
