Usually not a big fan of anime but this one turns out to be pretty good besides filler episodes.

Eh it’s worse than DBZ. He’s the invincible warrior that takes out a lot of anger and frustration in his wailing before learning a single move and it spans at least 20 episodes before anything interesting happens.
Then you realize you’re almost up to episode 200 and the original plot isn’t halfway done, and thousands of side quests have taken its role.

Yes Naruto the anime does suck pretty bad, mostly because they feel the need to release an episode every week, requiring it to be like 80% filler, which is consistently terrible. Read the manga, it’s quite fantastic, and it only takes a few minutes to read a chapter. Amusing note: it’s made by a guy named Kishi.
@...Kishi: It has multiple plot twists, by the middle of the show I actually cared about some of the characters and about what happened to them, the ending is unexpected yet brilliant. The only thing I can see as getting in the way of your enjoying is if for some reason you absolutely hate the idea of futuristic combat technology cause “its not real.”
