    It certainly begs the question.

    @Lawnmower
    Congratulations! You are the first person on the internet to correctly use the phrase “begs the question”.

    jasonp

    That begs the question, how did he know how to use it correctly?

    HAHAHAHAHA.

    It always drives me crazy when people use that expression incorrectly.

    outofocus

    How do people use it incorrectly? *curious*

    outofocus,
    “Begging the question” has nothing to do with implying that a question should be asked. It refers instead to circular logic.

    What really pisses me off is when I hear people like news reporters using the phrase incorrectly. You went to school for journalism, FFS.

    I’m no grammar nazi, but this is one of my pet peeves. Sadly, so few people know what that actually phrase means that it’s completely acceptable to misuse it now a days.

    Ha. Sorry for the dub, but I noticed some typos in my grammar nazi rant. In before someone else points them out. 😛

    Ahhh, I loved this post!

    The other Discordians of project POSTERGASM loved this one so much, we made a bunch of posters from it

    One of our people even wrote a song about this, called The Brokedowns. Check it out here: www.principiadiscordia.com/forum/index.php?topic=13875.msg444204#msg444204

    Shouldn’t there be a comma after works? Or is that an optional thing?

    According to that ‘rule’ somebody posted somewhere before: REPOAST!
