I did at first too, but he grows on you as you play through the game.
Niko’s voice makes me swoon/orgasm, in that order.
So, are we supposed to feel bad for this thug before the last mission (either one you do) or what? Are the story writers really banking on you feeling bad for this piece of shit? I know it was supposed to motivate me to complete the final, dramatic mission, but I felt that Niko got his just deserts.

At first I hated him, then I thought he was an alright character.
They tried to develop him a character with morals, but then he’d do things that completely contradicted that.

Exactly. They tried to make him a character with morals that you could sympathise with, but then as the game progressed he just turned out to be a sociopath.
I ended up not caring.
