    this anime is the win. Although I never understood it. I ultimaly figured that the creator just threw in a bunch of kick-ass symbolism that didn’t mean anything.

    Too much symbolism about teenage angst and sexual awakening combined with oriental holistic theories. Kinda heavy.

    I always hoped that the penguin would survive instead of whatshername at the end.

    Well there are some real symbols used in NGE, in The End Of Evangelion just before the big eye explosion the EVA series expand their anti AT-Fields in the order of the symbol of The Horizon Of Eternity, Search Google for “ten divine names”
