Has anyone else caught this on TV yet? I watched the first couple episodes, and just had to turn the second one off half way through. Seriously! It was either the incredibly stupid announcer, or the 5second quick cuts that did it in for me. I did dig the events, and the contestents, and most of the gladiators, although the blonde one in front reminds me too much of that special kid from MadTV. I don’t think I’ll be watching any more of it though, meh.
Since I first heard about this show I have never had any intention to watch it.

I watched the first few episodes, mainly for the Hulkster, but yeah, it’s too over-the-top glitzy, and doesn’t have the same kitsch-y appeal that the original did. Also, the blonde dude up front? Guy played Superman in the “World’s Finest” fan-film. Habeeb it.

I think the over abundance of precanned smack talk is what killed this show for me.
Agreed. The smack talk is awfully unnecessary and really takes a lot from the shows potential.
That red-head up in the front is definitely worth looking at, though.
If they just took out ALL the talking it would be a great show. They don’t, ergo it sucks.
