is this out yet? anyone play it? is it any good?
-
Duno, ask Batman.
-
@tiki god: this came out last october or so, I picked it up a few weeks back on clearence at Target for $14.
I must say that even though these Lego games were getting a bit repetitive, Lego Batman does have the most extensive character and vehicle list to date and its not to big in the “funny or gags” department like the other games.
I wouldn’t pay more than $20 for it.
btw tiki, what consoles do you have?
-
I was just playing this (on PC). It’s pure nice fun. After you beat the Batman campaign you get to tear ass with the villains.

Legos actually burn quite well. Yes, I have experimented with this in my garage.

Pirate Legos > ur face
-
I miss my Legos. I wish I had room for them in my dorm, but they have to stay at home for now. How sad.
That much being said, Roboforce for the win.
-
In order of preference: Rock Raiders, UFO, Pirates, Spyrius, Life on Mars.
-
It seems like they have changed their re-direct page now, (www.lego.com/errors/legos.asp?domainredir=www.legos.com) but for a time not long ago, LEGO got all pissy about people calling their product and company, “Legos“.
The original re-direct contained the equivilent to a bitchy sounding slap on the wrist reminder that they are LEGO dammit! No “S”.
Made me feel like four-year old getting yelled at. Which is ironic considering their core demographic.
-
Legos and Erector sets were among my favorite toys as a child…and still are as an adult.
-
Legos were the best toys when I was a kid. I still have all my old legos, hope to pass them on to my kid when she gets older.
-
I hate the word Legos
Its like saying sheeps.
but lego WINS!
-
-
The correct plural is “Lego bricks” not Legos, btw.
-
Yeah, I’d love to know how in america it became “legos” instead of just “lego”…..

A giant, smiling Lego man has been fished out of the sea in the Dutch resort of Zandvoort. Workers at a drinks stall rescued the 2.5-metre tall model, which had a yellow head and blue torso.

“Captain, we’re having to hold the ropes to keep the Lego shipping container from going overboard. What should we do?”
“Lego?”
“Aye, aye sir.”
-
@conan776:
I lol’d.

Deep message
-
grammar error much?
-
also WHY IS THAT LITTLE BOY WEARING A SPEEDO
-
@wartoaster: Because he’s Dutch. And that’s how they roll.

Lol, I think thats those are the bottoms for a girl’s bikini.

@Bark:
I think I see a brownish silhouette coming at ‘er at full speed.

@wartoaster
I’m not sure if it’s a grammar error or part of the art. I think it adds, in it’s way. Makes it a little stranger, and a giant lego man only benefits from being even stranger.
-
@conan776: arf!
Imagine though: “a 2.5-metre tall model, which had a yellow head” !!!
My god! A yellow head? On a Lego man? I wouldn’t believe it if I hadn’t seen it myself!

25 and all I want is my childhood lego collection again.
-
33, and I know exactly where mine is. I play Legos with my 6-year-old nephew now.
-
16 and I never had lego
-
I’m 29 now and I know where mine are…at my parent’s house, where I grew up, in storage.
One day, hopefully, my kids will enjoy them just as much as I did.
More likely, they will see them and think they are antique’s, much like I did with my father’s Erector Set.
-
21, and the most fun I had with lego when I was a child were the times when I used to build tall lego towers.. and continue making them taller until they become unstable and falls apart
-
I like when things fall apart.
-
I’ve saved all my sons’ legos, knex, erector sets as well as all the race cars, trains, etc…that belonged to me and hubby when we were kids.
-
@MikeBabaguh: Your father’s erector set is why you were born. Lame joke…
18, know where most of my legos are, just got a new set last Christmas because they had vikings and I felt the need to build once again, after years of standing idle.
-
When I was 18 (while drunk) me and a friend watched “The towering inferno”. We decided to build a big lego tower and burnt it down. Was great to watch until it fell over and split apart, but there were downsides.
1) I lost alot my legos
2) There is still a faint smell of burning plastic outside my house.
-
Legos are one of those toys you can never stop loving. and fuck everyone if they make fun of you.
-
29, never had legos.
-

Oh, yeah, I could totally do this.
-
Well I couldn’t for the simple fact my head would explode from anger if it were ever to fall apart
-
It takes a real pro to build without instructions.
-
Holy ship!
-
Too many colours!
-
@Solid_Squirrel: Agreed
-
Looks like someone dumped a pile of legos onto a table. I see nothing recognizable as an Imperial Star Destroyer. Or is this after the Rebel Alliance blew it up?
-
It’s….kind of, slightly, a bit similarly wedge shaped.
And it has a recognizable spherical thing near the top.
-
Except the spherical thing should be further out, not crushed into the command deck.
lol fail
-
Guessing its more of a Naval Destroyer than an Imperial Star Destroyer.
Regardless, that technicolor nightmare wouldn’t be able to hide too well on the ocean, it’d get sunk in days, if for no other reason than the crew would scuttle it, just to get off.
-
This would be exponentially better if it were the right colors.
-
i like the random boat pieces at the front.
“quick, i need to use up all my legos… “
-
@Dral: Yeah, looks to be a navy vessel, not one that sails the stars.
-
nothing a little spray paint can’t fix
-
Abstract art… NONONO wait this is from the ATARI version I remember
-
@AlecDalek: Agreed.
-
color blind builder?
-
It’s a “What can I come up with if I use every last piece I have?” I miss doing that.Sometimes wish I had been selfish and not passed on the footlocker full of Legos to my younger cousins.
-
I don’t remember it being as colorfully gay…
-
get a jobbbbbbbbbb!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Oh, forget that lousy LEGO confabulation. I have to have those curtains. Not an *evil* “first in” but my celebratory first post on MCS.
-
Nice, though it would be cooler if it didn’t have so many colors
-
Seriously wow.
-
coming from someone sitting on the internet looking at random pictures – get a life!

Legos=win. Always. Its the kids who use the normal legos that will grow up to be architects, and the kids who build this kind of shit (in a good way) that will eventually make a fucking mech.

I’d feel guilty eating it.
Give me a plain rectangular prism and I’ll be happy.
-
300lbs?? Does it double as a neutron star at that density?
-
-
why so ugly??
-
Two of those females look like people I know… like, alternative universe versions or something. It’s kind of strange.
-
@outofocus: My wife recognizes the one just right of center, in the back. She’s been on some Food Network Challenges, probably making Disney-themed cakes or something.
-
I always have doubts about these cakes. How is that edible?
-
Why did i read that as bukkake?
fuck you internet.

How much would something like this cost?

Gorgeous.

Lego, mayhaps?
-
Not lego no, just ‘pixelated’.
hence the title.
The world needs more randomly placed artistic expression. As long as it isn’t ugly.
This is cool.
-
@MrDooves: It has to be made out of something. It seems like the kind of thing people would do with lego.
-
Ya, it could easily be reproduced in Lego, but the mass surface of this thing doesn’t contain any of those little raised circle bips. Is there even a word for them? The little circles on the top of lego that interconnect with the other pieces? I’ll call them ‘Bips”.
-
i figure the blocks would on their side, so the bips are in in the indents in the next piece. The bips at the foremost edges could be concealed by couple of 1X4 or 2X2 flats.
-
Your way sounds like alot of work… They likely just used a jigsaw in shop class. Its well made regardless the method.
-
I’ve seen this before. Later that day, some wannabe graffiti artist had tagged it.
-
Blocks of post-it’s.
-
@Namelis1: Namelis wins the thread.
-
The blips on Lego are called studs. This ain’t Lego, though, nowaydays with all the tiles you could reproduce it with ‘em, if you wanted
-
shooped. i can tell by the pixels in the water

terwilligher, I want to agree with you but I’ve never seen that. All females I’ve met so far that are into masochism are accompanied by females. Never have I met (nor want to) males in that role.
I’m talking from the industrial/goth parties I sometimes go to, they have a kinky fetish show going on occassionally.

Are you kidding? Most guys I’ve met want to be bottoms and most women want to be tops.
-
I vote for half and half.
-
Of course, it’s absolutely fine for Female Dommes to be in the media, like Lady Heather on CSI, or the Domme that was on House. If the female is in the Top role, it’s socially acceptable.
When was the last time you saw a Male Dom in the media that wasn’t portrayed as some sort of maniac?
-
Wall-e`s been a bad boy.
-
-
@terwilligher: AFAIK, There is no predetermined sex specific top/bottom orientation. It is really simply a matter of individual tastes. Gender appears to purely be a purely circumstantial issue…
-
I absolutely need a parts list for this. I must build one of these for myself! This is the most hilarious LEGO project I have ever seen.

This is quite simply the most awesome thing ever if you’re into that sort of thing.
-
there’s a girl where the guy should be, and vice versa?
-
I JUST BOUGHT THAT SET AT TOYS “R” US!!!!!!!!
-
terwilligher, I want to agree with you but I’ve never seen that. All females I’ve met so far that are into masochism are accompanied by females. Never have I met (nor want to) males in that role.

Again, I never understood Legos. Why would I want a box of blocks that I can stack into a car, when the toy car is on the same isle in the toy store? I think Legos are hobby models for damaged childeren whos parents wont let them use the modeling glue.
-
I’m pretty sure most parents would trust their kids with Legos before modeling glue. The risk of getting high off fumes is a bit lower.
And on top of that, Legos encourage creativity and imagination (another essential building block of an intelligent adult). Modeling kits encourage you to follow instructions (which is important, but maybe not so important at the age when Legos or their cousins are introduced).
-
And also, this mech is badass.
-
Can’t forget that with legos, you can build a car, then once you get bored build a space ship. And if you get bored again build something else (like this wicked boss mech). With a model you build it then can’t do anything with it.
-
That’s not quite true . . . you can smash it!
-
That’s not quite true…you can smash legos also!
What would be cooler, throwing a plastic model plane off your roof to the ground and maybe breaking a vertical stabilizer from a shitty glue job or a lego plane that gets obliterated at the bottom??
Go legos, fuck models!
-
And don’t forget, with legos you can rebuild it and smash it again.
-
Ah, the Jupiter class assault mech (make sure you bring some body bags when facing this thing)

Sweet Christ that is awesome!
-
I always admired people with the patience to play with LEGOS.
-
R.I.P. MechWarrior
MadCat, Bushwacker, ShadowCat. Probably.
I think I’m gonna reinstall MW 4:Mercenaries.
-
Already had MW4 on my comp, great games.
-
Madcat, Thor and Mad Dog. Of, if you prefer their Clan-designations: Timberwolf, Summoner and Vulture.
-
If Lego made it, I ended up buying it for my son. I’m betting I’ve spent thousands on them and still have every one of ‘em in storage in the attic.
-
They made it so the transformation is more of a mutant cat with minimal armor, rather than the same cat with a layer of green spray and utterly lame metal thingies.
-
Ah fuck, wrong pic.
Anyway that was an awesome show, what was the name of it? I remember the 3-D rendered fights, and owning at least 2 mech toys, the pilots were tiny.
-
There is so much win in this picture I don’t even know where to begin.
-
That… is amazing. Where can I get the plans for those?
-
www.brickcommander.com is an awesome source for Battletech Lego Models. The designer not only has a nicely illustrated site, but provides the CAD files to assist in building them.
-
I normally don’t spend to much time playing computers, but MW4 was awesome, to the point I actually finished it and the expansions. My wife is still pissed about all the time I spent playing it, and it’s been years since.
-
Y’know the video games have all turned into MechAssault, but they still make plenty o’ books and pen and paper games with the universe.
