A 17th century Central Tibetan thangka (painted or embroidered banner) of Guhyasamaja Akshobhyavajra, from the GuhyasamÄÂja tantra, a tantra whose practice is important to many schools of Tibetan Buddhism. The Guhyasamaja (“Secret Assembly”) tantra was developed at an early date in history to aid the Buddhist practitioner in understanding and practicing Tantric Buddhism to attain enlightenment. These are the basic texts of the Tantricâ€â€an esoteric and highly symbolicâ€â€form of Buddhism, which developed in India and became dominant in Tibet.

Sadko in the Underwater Kingdom
…a painting by Ilya Repin depicting Sadko, a Russian folk hero of a bylina of the same name. A merchant and gusli musician from Novgorod, he is transported to the realm of the Sea King. There, he is to provide music to accompany the dance at the marriage of the King’s daughter (scene depicted here). The dancing grows so frenzied that the surface of the sea billows and surges, threatening to founder the ships on it. To calm the sea, Sadko smashes his gusli. The storm dissipates and he reappears on the shore. The story inspired both an opera and musical tableau.

A giant mechanical spider hangs from a disused building in the centre of Liverpool, England, Wednesday Sept. 3, 2008, in readiness for the start of a five-day piece of street theatre as part of the European Capital of Culture.
The spider has been built by French company La Machine, which in 2006 displayed a similar artwork called The Sultan’s Elephant, in London.

Every time someone sees a picture of this car they don’t know what to say and end up asking to see more pictures. So here they are for everyone to enjoy! The car was actually done in sharpie markers on the paint and then finished with a clear coat for protection. It took about 2 weeks total. Prestige (Lamborghini Miami) definitely shocked a lot of people when this car was first seen in California during the Concorso Italiano/Pebble Beach week. It attracted attention good and unfortunately bad everywhere it went.
