I visited Carcassonne w/ my family when I was 12 or 13. I always thought it would be so cool to live in a walled city…it’s medieval.

They don’t get much bigger than these.

Neuschwanstein Castle…

…is a 19th-century Bavarian palace on a rugged hill near Hohenschwangau and Füssen in southwest Bavaria, Germany. The palace was commissioned by Ludwig II of Bavaria as a retreat and as a homage to Richard Wagner, the King’s inspiring muse. Although public photography of the interior is not permitted,[1] it is the most photographed building in Germany[2] and is one of the country’s most popular tourist destinations.

Black Sea Castle, Yalta, Russia/Ukraine, 1987

The neo-Gothic Swallow’s Nest castle perches 130 feet (40 meters) above the Black Sea near Yalta in southern Ukraine. Built by a German noble in 1912, the flamboyant seaside residence now houses an Italian restaurant.
A Restaurant?!!
It looks like it was carved directly out of the rock.

Reminds me of my vacation in Turkey. I adore white buildings. This one looks especially beautiful.

Reminds me of Dali. If only it were an ugly-ass shade of light green.

I really like those porch columns.
