    Ant-Man review

A man that can shrink to the size of an ant and use his ant friends to fight injustice and evil.

Marvel’s been trying out some different types of films: political thrillers, buddy team films, action films, unlikely teams and now heist movies, and boy was it an enjoyable ride.  For those of you that were even vaguely following along, you know there was all sorts of director and story drama that’s been going on for a considerable amount of time.  Luckily they got their shit together and gave it a pure comedy heist feel to it with only the slightest of Marvel magic, which was way too heavy in Avengers2 and seems to be heading the same way for the upcoming Captain America : Civil War movie that will likely have over 15 mainstream comic books characters in it.  It was a nice change of pace to have just a single hero vs a single villain with only a couple minor and easily ignorable easter eggs.

It wasn’t all roses and sunshine though, there was still plenty to complain about, but over all?  It was enjoyable and highly worth my time at the theater.

This was a slow burn series that apparently is never going to ever be sold, so the only way to watch it is on the Netflix. The fact I can’t find it on Amazon aside, I enjoyed the end result of Sense8, but had to suffer through some pretty unsteady story points (looking at you helicoptor chase scene) , and there some reeeally heavy handed transgendered / sexuality stuff going on here, so if you’re ok with exploring what makes for a person’s sexual identity and the struggles that everyone goes through in their life, Sense8 may be for you.

Can’t handle some freaky sexual ideas though, and you’re not going to have a good time.  Case in point?  every episode opens up with a montage of things going on around the world, which includes a couple of bears making out with each other and an ice cream cone with melty ice cream all over their mouths.   Made me confused and hot and bothered.
