Next paycheck, I’m getting the rest of this series! The 3rd volume happens to be one of my personal favorites for the Spanish ripoff of Godzilla with Tourettes and ADHD.

1. ABLETON
“The show revolves around Ableton Live software on custom made super-computers, which we remotely access and control with Behringer BCR2000 midi controllers.”
2. SCREENS
“Next to the ethernet remote computer screens there are four Minimoog Voyagers, the classic analog synthesizers. They’re a 30-year old design.”
3. MOOGS
“We can mix, shuffle, trigger loops, filter, distort samples, EQ in and out, transpose or destroy and deconstruct synth lines. We keep some surprises on the side too!”
4. VISUALS
“There’s a direct connection between our rig and the lights and visuals of the show. The light and video engineers can also add or control layers during the show.”
5. SYNTHS

“He was the first man to visit both the north and south poles by land and the first man to completely cross the Antarctic on foot.” – Wikipedia
Last year at over sixty years and with a lifelong fear of heights he scaled the North face of the Eiger.
He also completed the seven marathons in seven days on seven continents challenge four months after a double heart by-pass.
Ranulph Fiennes simply walks into Mordor…

Cardboard regatta?
Star Destroyer?
a + b = awesome.
May 4, 2008 at 12:32 pm
Alright, the city of Helena, MT holds an annual Cardboard Regatta in Spring Meadow Lake. The Regatta is a fund raiser for a non-profit organization that helps people with disabilities, and in order to generate competitive interest local stores and restaurants donate gift certificates as prizes. The only real rule is that a boat must be made entirely of duct-tape and cardboard (various other materials can be used but only in small amounts). The boats are first judged on their originality which is then followed by the races. We basically won every prize they could throw at us, including victory over our competitors and the shocked looks carved into their faces. All-in-all, with a cardboard Star Destroyer, that I kicked across a lake, with a total cost of roughly $20 to build, we landed ourselves nearly $400 in various gift certificates.
tl;dr ~ we’re five nerds from Montana that won $400 in gift certificates by entering a Star Destroyer in a cardboard boat race.

Looks awesome. Congratulations on your epic win.
May 4, 2008 at 1:46 pm
Sweet!
May 4, 2008 at 2:01 pm
Wait, you’re boat won on kick power alone? That is truly amazing-ness at it’s finest.
May 4, 2008 at 2:15 pm
Looks like a great group of guys who are creative, diligent and will never get laid.
May 4, 2008 at 3:43 pm
So, where you UNDER the star destroyer?
May 4, 2008 at 5:27 pm
Yeah, I just realized what he meant by kicking it across the lake, and by “optics system.” I only briefly looked at it earlier.
Now it looks to me like he made a periscope out of two mirrors, and was indeed under it kicking. I R SO SMAHRT

Neshamah, can I put your photos and description of your pwnage in the next issue of RebelPilot? (this is the last issue of rebelpilot: www.squidoo.com/issue99)
May 4, 2008 at 9:27 pm
Damn…I had no idea of the scale of awesomeness of the Star Destroyer until now…That’s amazing!
May 4, 2008 at 11:26 pm
@ Daskunt
Yes, I would also greatly appreciate it if you could name everyone from the team, seeing as how all I did was drive it. Using the second picture in the series for reference the members of my team are (from left to right): Dylan Smith, Matthew Taylor, Justin Harvey, Kevin Ward, and Taylor McCormack (not pictured Beav Murnion).
May 5, 2008 at 7:27 pm
Thanks for that Neshamah. When I’ve published it (before the end of the week) I’ll drop a link back in here for you to check it out.
May 7, 2008 at 7:12 pm
Does it have to be human powered, or could you attach something like model rocket engines to shoot it across the lake?
