Directed by William Eubank. With Kristen Stewart, T.J. Miller, Jessica Henwick, Vincent Cassel. A crew of aquatic researchers work to get to safety after an earthquake devastates their subterranean laboratory. But the crew has more than the ocean seabed to fear.

Amazingly better than I could have hoped for, I was on the edge of my seat for nearly the entire movie. There’s one confusing lull in the story, but that gets handled in due course.

I’ve been getting more and more interested in the John Carter mythos, first introduced to me by the Disney movie, and this was my first purchase of Carter comics that I’ve been able to get around to reading. I have the adaptation around my office somewhere, just need to dig it out and read it.

I realize that starting with a series named “The End” was likely a bad idea, but there wasn’t anything here that was confusing, and the issues were only $1 each during the annual MidTown sale.

She-Hulk is now just “hulk”, which isn’t confusing at all, but makes sense in light of the fact that the original “hulk” is dead at this point in the Marvel timeline. Unlike the Daredevil mini series I read right before this series, there’s no redemption arc here, just some really sad stuff that really made me sad for Jennifer.
