   It always sad to see great organizations changed for the worst, the Sierra Club, like MADD, where once honorable groups, but both turned into something their founders would have hated. Sierra Club has been exposed in active support of ELF, in fact the Sierra Club was instrumental in ELF’s creation, I am sure John Muir would be disappointed in the Sierra Club’s activities today . The MADD founder, Candice Lightner, was forced to leave when the group turned from strengthening drunk driving laws to a modern day prohibition organization.

   I have to admit that my attention really flagged this season, after the previous season in which approximately 60 percent of the regular cast was outed as being Cylons without their knowledge. I mean, this is getting ridiculous. Boomer, okay, that worked. But the Chief, and the XO, and that dude who was dating Starbuck for a while but was really boring? And six or seven guys in the hallway? And the janitor? And Xena? And guy from Quantum Leap? And…

   I mean, for crying out loud. I’d love for the cast to just stop in the middle of whatever they’re doing, lookt at each other, and be like, “Uh… Show of hands. Anybody here /not/ a Cylon?”

   I liked that Tigh and Tyrol and Tory were outed, but the other guy–can’t remember his name but the dull guy with nothing to do–didn’t make an impact on me or, IMO, the show. This seasons been pretty dull so far, and the far-fetched Baltar-and-his-harem storyline is plain stupid and not really in the spirit of the show. What I dislike most, though, is Starbuck’s character’s been so watered-down as to be practically unrecognizable from the first 2, maybe 3 seasons. Needs more space battles!

    Most of that stuff is WWII stuff and older.

    The M2s are still in use today (Mah Deuce warms the cockles of my heart)

    A couple AKs, FALs, a little wall of ARs but aside from that it all looks like 1950 and earlier. Still impressive stuff. Personally I love the BARs and warbabies lining the top.

    Also, to legally own full auto guns in the US, you have to get a class 3 federal firearms license (which involves every kind of check except a cavity search). It’s kind of doubtful that this gun owner is a “nut”.

    Oh, and since it’s a vault, he’s not ‘bearing’ arms, he’s owning them. My Dad has two lovely Argentinian Battle Lances in the basement- this is basically the same thing. It’s a collection of antique firearms, and it really is both stunning and historically significant. It’s not like these guns are going to walk out of the safe and shoot you.

   Two things wrong with calling this police brutality, the first one is a riot is apperantly happening right where this knucklehead is standing and the knucklehead has decided that it’s okay to remain standing in the middle of it, two, the police officer can not see said knucklehead because his view is blocked by the phone booth and it wasn’t until the officer came around it that the knucklehead is standing right in front of him. As far as I concerned, the officer did nothing up to the end of the photos.

   Now if something happened after that (like a beat down), than that’s different, but this doesn’t show anything close to being brutal.

    The cop was just helping the young lad out of his way. You’ll also notice he didn’t drop his beer, a sign of an experienced drinker/falling down drunk. Very entertaining and funny.

    all that and the fast that several officers had the shit kicked out of them because…well no reason really. fucking pissed-up jocks get angry becasue of a technical fault and the screen dies? A new image from Watchmen, appearing on aintitcool. The reason it looks like Adam West Batman, is (for those that don’t know the comic) this is meant to be the first real supeheroes, with homemade costumes, etc. I love how they’re sticking to the source material so faithfully.

   He’s meant to be an old school circu-strongman / wrestler type, so he looks just about right.

   Really, this is the best piece of publicity they’ve released so far, i really have my doubts about the film.

   The Comedian’s boiler suit doesn’t look quite right, and Mothman’s wings aren’t big enough, but they look a shitload closer to the comic than I would have guessed previously.

   there’s just so much god damn material from the books, how are they going to cram that into a 2-3 hour movie? Cut out all the subplots? I can’t actually remember any sub plots, it all built to the climax of the story.
