This Claptrap sculpture is currently being auctioned for charity with 100% of the proceeds going to Childs Play to help sick kids. (Through “eBay Giving Works”, so money goes directly to them)

This weekend is the second Headshots from the Heart marathon where a team will be streamed playing Borderlands 2 for 24 hours straight. Last year we raised $2700 for Childs Play and this year there’s lots more available for auction. You can also pledge money on a per-headshot kill or donate a flat amount using Childs Play’s “Chip In” widget, again so money goes directly to Childs Play.

       Come to think of it, “fan-made” seems somewhat wrong here, since what kind of fan would do this to the Falcon?

       Me, I could envision a scene where she’s preserved in pristine condition in a place of honor, and often Han and Chewie would sit around near it and reminisce about the good old days. At a later juncture, possibly when a great threat looms, they’d make a mad dash to the Falcon and use it to escape/defeat said threat, or maybe arrive to Luke’s rescue in it.

       A bit cliched, I know, but I would love to see something like that nonetheless.
