Star Trek: The Next Generation: Dominion War: Book 1: Behind Enemy Lines

After reading a series of short stories in “Tales of the Dominion War” I realized I had a whole series of books that dealt with what various crews were up to during the entire horrifying ordeal, so I started in with book one. It’s a great story of what the TNG Enterprise crew was putting up with and how they were reacting to such death and destruction, and just when it was getting good the book just stopped. I’m not even sure if that was supposed to be the end of the actual story, but considering how bad the formatting and pagination was for the entire publication (as officially released for my Kindle!) I wouldn’t be shocked if there were parts missing. I hoped it was just that one book, but it looks like the next one in the series is also badly mangled, with no spacing between paragraphs or scene changes and chapter markers that don’t make much sense.
The story itself is pretty good, I just wonder whatever happened to Data and if the infiltration team ever made it back safely. The next book doesn’t pick up the story, it seems to be a novelization of stuff that was happening in DS9 for the final season.
