I would try cleaning up whatever install you have now before jumping to a new OS.

no sure why your OS would affect upload speed. How are you connected to the internet? WAN based connections can slow down during peak usage hours. Something like that and/or an upload speed limit by your ISP seems like a more likely cause if it’s only slow upload issues.

Ubuntu is shiny and nice. Up until you realise that there’s no redundancy like in Windows, and that when you uninstall the surface LAN interface you’re actually uninstalling the whole goddamn interface, you can’t just reinstall that shit, fuckin’ madness I tell you.
