I might attend an autopsy. I'm all giddy...
Cool..
I went to a cadaver tear-down once. Was it as fun as I imagine it? With singing and dancing and blood pools where skeletons sync-swim?
If the skeletons were swimming they wouldn't be sinking, would they?
And no, no blood pools. No singing either. We were chanting......

sync, woman.. sync, synchronized swimming. I'm sorry, I'm just mad that there's not singing...
Chanting? What are you some kind of cultist?
If so, what and how do you sacrifice things?Mister we slice little girls into pieces in our country but at least we can't shoot them.

It was a play on words, you literalist.
And OK, we WERE singing.

Oh, thank goodness... what? this satanic dribble, insulting my Christian values once again, are you?

Yet another person who is calling you out on your literalism, Lamb.
Word plays are tasty. I like them with sarcasm and a pinch of wicked.
"you’re mosdef doing it wrong… you’re not near enough of a condescending opinionated teenie-bopper to be the ‘real’ dieA…"

It's fun to always be literal... It pisses off so many people and then I can have my silence.

Did anyone else read the Darren Shan books?
They weren't half bad, for kids books. Especially the latter 6.Posted 1 month ago # -
That works only if you are doing it on purpose Lamb. And even then you're still dull because you don't have to put any effort in it. No creativity.
Didn't you say you were a writer? You should be good at this anyway, unless all you're trying to do is "piss off" your readers. Then do proceed.

Do you see me all writey here? I talking to people, not making literature.
Plus, what the fuck's wrong with your memory? Stop remembering stuff!

I said you would have to be good at it anyway. If you were you would use your skills whenever. See that means you're not doing it on purpose.

Who are you trying to convince? I never said it was.
And.. no I wouldn't, nobody would. You use it when you want to/have to/can't do anything without ripping your head out but that. The last one might just be me, but that hasn't happened for some time now.Posted 1 month ago # -
You said it's fun to always be literal. I say sometimes you just don't get when people are not being literal.
Also what are you talking about. Nobody would? I am a writer and I do. Many poetry lovers do too.

It seems like there's a difference between 'whenever' and 'always.' I'm not really sure why I point this out. I don't think it really matters.

That's exactly what it's like. I worked in a hospital morgue for a while and just loved the dancing and singing, unfortunately we had to steal the blood from the 2nd floor.I might attend an autopsy. I'm all giddy...

Yeah, that's right! We always had to go upstairs if we wanted the pools filled. Did you have one of those inflatable rings with the seahorse head?

I don't write poetry. Maybe that there is the difference.
But I don't WANNA walk up stairs for the pools of blood.

Seahorsies? Man, we only had rubber duckies.I might attend an autopsy. I'm all giddy...

And yet again people using their religion as an excuse to misconstrue scripture to oppress other people for the sake of controlling the masses. While we are at it we should also make mention of the fact that PEOPLE DO SO MUCH FUCKING BULLSHIT IN THE NAME OF THE CHILDREN. Goddamn EVERYONE uses the "THINK OF THE CHILDREN" argument.

I wouldn't have thought too much about this, except he's representing the Catholic Church. They're so not-evangelical that I forget about this side of them.

BERKELEY SPRINGS - Energy was high Sunday during this weekend's 11th Annual Berkeley Springs Festival of Light alternative healing and psychic fair.
Hosted by the Ice House, the annual festival featured an eclectic mix of more than 40 practitioners of spiritual and physical healing techniques.
"This is an alternative healing and psychic expo. We look for alternatives ways, basically, to keep the body strong and healthy - and not only the body, but the mind and spirit also. We work on all different levels," said Maryelen Willinghan, one of the main organizers of the event.
The fair offered everything from one-on-one sessions with astrologers and tarot card readers to body healing techniques including yoga and massage therapy.
In addition, various vendors were on hand to sell crystals often associated with spiritual healing, as well as precious stones and jewelry. A weekend admission pass to the event also allowed visitors to attend several workshops, demonstrations and lectures, as well a chance to visit with the numerous practitioners who set up shop on the main floor of the Ice House.
I hate where I live sometimes.

I'm really curious about something and I hope you will have something interesting to say and not be offended.
So far you showed only disapproval for anything that's related to supranatural claims or topics, which is fine, I don't agree with it but I have no problem with it.
Except there's one thing you said about Sarah Palin. I said something about how she is attractive and if people didn't know who she was they wouldn't act like she looks like a monster and you implied in reply to me, that bad people start looking bad to others on the outside as well. I don't think you used the word bad, but that's basically what you said. The first thing doesn't really harmonise with the second. Like you couldn't prove in a lab that a human is bad, and that they will start looking bad to other people. So what's your explanation, I don't know how serious you were about the Palin thing though.
I'm confident that if I showed you photos/videos of different women you wouldn't be able to tell me which one you would consider "bad" if you knew her world view and convictions, based on only the photos/videos.Posted 1 week ago # -
For the record i always thought Saddamn Hussein looked like a Mexican Grandfather. You know the kind who gives his 13 year old grandson a beer while mom and dad aren't looking, because he is cool like that and his parents used to let him drink beer.

@lotus: We are alike in this thought.
@die: I don't know what nyokki's opinion is, but I do think people who live negatively eventually show this on their exterior. Sort of a subconscious mind over matter kind of thing. I also think that this only applies to those people who do bad things but still feel guilt for it. I think its the guilt that causes the physical change. I don't believe in ghosts and monsters, but I do feel the mind is much more powerful than we know.

I am a firm believer in the mind over matter theory. But as you already said, this is something that depends on many individual factors, and it's definitely not a theory that an aggressive materialist/scientist would support.
How do you prove that anyone's lifestyle is negative. You have to base it on someone else's standards, how do you prove that anyone's standards are fit to be used as a universal measure for something like that? You can't. To do so you have to use something that a scientist can't prove to be true, which is therefore outside of the field of science.
So for anyone to say that Sarah Palin looks bad to other people because she is "bad" they would have to believe in something that they can't prove. Sorry if there's a gap somewhere here, tell me, but I think it's a proper argument.
