imagine the jump from vhs to dvd, that's the difference in size ratio, but with the vhs to dvd move, you'll receive no new functions and no new "gee wow", other than a larger picture resolution. I agree that's the reason that they've given, but I think it's a shitty shitty reason, considering I can play pretty much any video game for any console on my PC with emulation. Shit, the PS3 even had additional hardware for the longest time that would play ps2 titles, why not do something like that for the xbox1?

     Anti-gunners are violent. Pro-gunners train to apply violence. There is a difference. Anti-gunners post threats online when someone puts up a joke image of a gun sitting on the ground in front of a door.     I love the arrogance in assuming that the highly trained ex-serviceman will meet his match from a second-amendment-loving citizen off the street.

    I’m not for getting rid of guns, but even if you’re packing high capacity magazines in a tactical assault weapon, at best this guy’s still going to use you as an ammo refill.

    Maybe if you put together one of those well-regulated militias everyone overlooks from that amendment, you’d stand a pretty good chance before you were taken in for vigilantism.

My God Damned Neighbors just woke me up

yes, it’s 4 am.

to celebrate this, please regale me with tales of when you really really wanted to hurt someone, but didn’t, because that would be stupid.
(ps, I’m staying up to watch my security cameras to be sure they don’t try anything stupid. I went over and “chatted” with them about the volume of their musics)

   A few years back,about 4 AM, I sat straight up in bed when there was a loud sound and the building shook. The sound was someone trying to kick in a door. Doing it hard enough to actually shake a 2 story/8 unit apartment building. (Not the most solid building, but a solid door). Again and again someone tried kicking in the door. When it became clear his efforts where futile, he started yelling about his buddy leaving him hanging, with no way to get in the apartment while he was off banging some chick he just picked up. How could he do this to someone visiting from 1000 miles away. Another neighbor, beat me to it, but came out and started giving him shit which he didn’t want to hear and continued yelling. As my neighbor talked him down the cops showed up and said they had several complaints. There was no way the guy could prove he was staying here, the guy wouldn’t answer his phone, so the cops started to process him to arrest him. He foolishly started yelling again, they cuffed him and put him in the car while the cops talked to the other neighbors. As the cops were walking back to their car, the guy comes home, talks to the cops, confirms who the perp is, but the cops charge him anyway for disturbing the peace and resisting arrest. Whole nightmare lasted about an hour and a half.

     not so much, more like, I had people parking in my yard, so I signed a contract with a towing company and hooked up an IP cam so I could catch them and get them towed

       Should’ve left those cars on bricks couple of time. More cost effective – you don’t need to invest in surveillance, and you get free tires.

   I lived downstairs from…..a band. Yes, an entire band. I was there for 13 months before they moved in, and they seemed like such nice fellows. I moved into a new apartment 5 weeks later.

   I used to rent an apartment that have nice solid walls but the floor was thin as paper, I could actually hear when the downstairs neighbor switched lights on an off. At one point I got a new downstairs neighbor who received a stereo for Christmas and a metallica CD. 1 cd. that he played loudly over and over. I asked him to turn it down, he didn’t. I asked the landlord to inform him that other people have shifts that start in the AM. He would co-operate until she was gone then back to blasting. I called the cops once. Finally I had enough on new years eve when he invited all his friends over. I put on my boots and jacket and walked around the complex in the snow and found his breaker box and threw the main switch. I watched from the laundry room as his guests all left and he looked confused as to why he had no power. Three days passed of blissful silence. On the fourth day I came home from work to find a note from the power company telling him there was nothing wrong with the power and that he should turn the breaker back on. I swiped the note and reactivated the power so I could use this trick again. I didn’t get a chance since he was evicted a month later after the landlord was informed that 17 separate complaints had been called into the police by other neighbors. I got to smile and wave as he packed up and left.
