Sweet Creek, Oregon

Add to favoritesI took these last October while visiting family in Oregon. The creek was low enough for me to get my fat ass out into the middle of some dry rock to take these. Sweet Creek has history as far back to the original natives who settled the land. Many of the hiking trails along the creek follow the same deer trails used by these people and later by the evil white settlers who used them as pack trails for trade and travel.

Add to favoritesLooking East South East looking into the Gulf of Mexico just before sunrise. 15 miles South from there is Mexico.
This was a natural pass that allowed access to the Laguna Madre and is now used for access to the shipping channels to and from the Gulf of Mexico.
