As earlier said as in a recent post, www.myconfinedspace.com/2008/12/24/santas-little-helper/ , i took the liberty of taking this picture today of the original statue made by Paul McCarthy called Santa Claus, currently residing on the Eendrachtsplein (plein means square) in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. In Rotterdam the statue is known as \’Kabouter Buttplug\’ since the christmastree he\’s holding resembles a sex-toy called butt-plug, however the term \’kabouter\’ means pixie and not santa claus which takes Santa off the hook i guess.

Hotel New York as seen from the river on the Wilhelminapier in Rotterdam The Netherlands. Site of where the famous HAL (Holland Amerika Lijn) used to ship thousands upon thousands of immigrants to the U.S.A.

This weekend a 120 hidden gardens in the city of Rotterdam opened for everybody to see. Mostly local residents showing their private gardens. Since Most of Rotterdam is build with inner courtyards surrounded by housing, you never get to see these private gardens and enjoy them.
This particular image was taken in the bloklandstraat in a courtyard named schoonoord, amidst of all the flowers, trees and gardendwarfs someone parked this rusty vehicle.

just a say hello to all MSC members from Rotterdam, Holland. Been watching your blog daily now for 6 months and look forward to posting more nice city/nature pics. I live downtown Rotterdam so i have an endless source of nice pics i should think, whenever i have my camera ready off course.
