A well done origin story for a little known and seldom mentioned character named “Superman”. I’m told that this is yet another re-start of the animated universe for DC, so even the stuff that DC was doing right is now getting overwritten.

Check it out if you’re excited to learn about Superman’s formative years in Metropolis in an alternative timeline that won’t matter in a few years when they reboot the entire universe yet again.

I enjoyed the first season and was saddened to hear that it was canceled, especially with how good the first season was and how amazing the first couple episodes were that featured Lobo. The special effect and casual drops of epics theme songs every now and again kept my attention, as well as the great storyline references from the comics. I found it difficult to do what I normally do when watching episodic television, which is to have my laptop open and working on stuff while the show runs.

Sadly it seems like a majority of the people that enjoyed the first season (like me) didn’t really come back for the second season, and I only remembered to get back to it because I found it on an old DVR in a guest room.

The two seasons that they did release were fantastic and I was happy with everything they did, sadly it went out with a cliffhanger, but in my mind I gave them a great send off and conclusion.
