For the Love of Spock review

“For the Love of Spock” celebrates the 50th Anniversary of “Star Trek” through a personal, intimate look at the life and career of Leonard Nimoy and the enduring appeal of his alter-ego, Mr. Spock, as told by his son, Adam Nimoy. Includes interviews and clips with Jim Parsons, Zoe Saldana, William Shatner, George Takei and many more.

Very powerful semi-biography, semi-love letter to the man behind the ears, very enjoyable to watch. I do have one complaint, and it’s that between segments they show clips from the original series, but instead of showing the original clips, they show the updated cgi stuff that CBS put together several years ago, and it’s damn weird. Why not show the original stuff?

Regardless, it’s a great film with great moments interviewing the hearts and minds behind one of the best science fiction franchises known to man.
