    I agree, it’s one of the worse parts of the CGI film world we have now. This is the same type of shit that gave us the latest transformers bullshit where it’s just a bunch of spinning parts flying around and suddenly you have a fucking robot.

    functional and logical moving parts make more sense.

    Well…they also had Zero Point Energy Modules…which were entire universes somehow captured and squeezed into something the size of a shoe-box which they leeched entropy out of to power all their crap.
    (and as covered in one of the SG:A episodes…yes…draining a battery kills everyone in that universe…and they ate up those things like a fat kid in a candy store). So if they can squeeze a universe…they can squeeze a piece of unobtanium armor.

    That guy is the non-Jaffa Jaffa First Prime of Ra, or something like that. If it were SG-1 era, he would be a Anubis Guard Jaffa, but it’s from Stargate, the movie, so they didn’t thought it yet.
