Supporting abortion is “supporting a woman’s right to choose what to do with her body” as much as supporting Cris Brown for beating Rihanna is “supporting a man’s right to choose what to do with his fists.”

A newborn baby is as “human” as a two-week-old fetus is any meaningful scientific sense. You cannot possibly claim that killing either just because you don’t feel like letting them live any longer is perfectly alright in one case but not the other and still claim to be a rational person.

Wrong. The relevant difference is that Rihanna does not live inside Brown’s body and that Brown would not have had to give birth to Rihanna if he had kept his fists still.

You declare newborns & 2-week fetuses identical with nothing to back it up, then claim that those who disagree with you can’t be rational? You fail at logic.

A newborn baby is as “human” as a century-old skeleten in any meaningful scientific sense. Since grinding a skeleton into powder is clearly alright, you cannot possibly claim that doing the same to babies isn’t completely fine and still claim to be a rational person.

I often wonder… these folks who are anti-abortion…

how many rape-babies, children produced by 14 year olds, or just low income couples who know they can’t properly support a child (financialy)… how many of these kids in the world are adopted by anti-abortion folks who are willing to take care of a life that the mother knows she can’t care for?

granted… but what I was getting at was (effectively)… as soon as someone stands up and says that a woman shouldn’t abort (regardless of the reason), then that person should automatically be put into the adoption proccess, and take on the support and care of the life they insist be brought about. Every time they open their mouths against abortion, they should take in another child.

Then we’d see how strong their “morals” are.

It’s easy to sit infront of a keyboard (or on a sidewalk with a sign) and say people should or shouldn’t do something when they themselves have nothing to lose or gain in the outcome.
