At first, I didn’t want them to ask me that question. Then, it didn’t matter if they asked that question. After that, I was flattered when they asked that question. Now, I want to kill them when they ask that question.

The first time I bought alcohol in a liquor store I wasn’t carded (it was less than a week after my 18th birthday).
I think it was because I was buying 7 litres of it for an upcoming party, so she figured that no 17 year old would be ballsy enough to try to buy all that in one go.
