The reality of it is that he was exercising his 1st amendment rights in expressing his support of traditional marriage. What he said was not hate speech.
Next, who is getting their rights denied? There are multiple states with gay marriage laws in place now where gays can go and get married legally, so how are their rights being denied?
Finally, you rip on the bible which is your right under the first amendment. I support you having the right to express your opinion that you don’t believe in the bible, however I will point out that in every state where gay marriage has been put before the voters (including California), the amendment to legalize gay marriage in those states has been soundly defeated. So the conclusion can be drawn that even in the most liberal state in the country, the majority of the american people do not wish to have the definition of marriage changed to support gay marriage.

Ok, so they might have to drive a few hours if they really really want to be officially married. How is this any different than having to drive across a state line to say buy alcohol on sunday, or buy fireworks? They still have the right to get legally married, even if it means that they might have to travel to do so. As long as they can get it done somewhere within the borders of the United States, technically their rights are being upheld.

The definition of marriage comes from the bible, which to those of us who are believers, means it comes from God Almighty. You can disagree with that if you wish, however, you also need to consider that the principals found in the constitution, was framed by men who firmly believed in god, the bible, and based many segments of the constitution from the bible, so if you’re going to try and discredit the bible, you are also attempting to discredit the constitution.

They beliefs of the authors of the constitution has nothing to do with the constitution unless it made it into the document in question. It wouldn't matter if they were all Christians, which they were not. Perhaps you should check out the beliefs of the founding fathers before you make such claims.
