Saw a gay couple walking through town, one was a little ordinary/somewhat chubby and the other was a painfully adorable pixie looking hipster girl with perfect makeup and proportions

It made me realise how soft I’m getting in late 20s/turning into an old woman, because all I could think of is… Imagine how hard it is for some young girl to “go through” being gay as a teenager, hard enough doing it straight, and for her to meet someone like that and have a relationship…. YOU GO AVERAGE LOOKING LESBIAN GIRL!! You show the difficult odds and social stigma – Look what I’ve got, Look at that face!!!

Ya being a gay girl is probably just oh so hard. We should give them money. Because no other teenager has shit to deal with.

Based on all the ‘community’ support it’s probably 100000X easier to grow up queer than straight. Where does the straight fat kid go when he gets bullied? What about the short kid? The gay kid goes to all the other gays and then whoever dared make fun of him gets expelled. So no bullshit about some fucking plight of the queer please. But queers like to cry so they get special treatment because they’re so fucking weak.

Another internet genius who thinks throwing out stale terms like Godwins and Straw Man negates the point that viciously murdered the one they were trying to make. as someone with quite a few gay friends, i can tell you that it wasn’t easy for them in school. this was late 90’s before the term ‘hate crime reared its ugly head too often. the Gen X’ers looming over us and telling us not to be like them. to try and fit into the mold to fight it out in middle america after high school. we were scared into trying to be normal and fit into The Social Wall so as not to end up like our older siblings who covered their piercings and tattoos in shame and did what they could to keep us from being like them. individuality was shunned.

You “murdered” a point I didn’t make – You brought some weird point of reference into the argument about fat/short people having it harder. That’s a cool observation there, but not a counter to my point.
