    All great ideas. A nice mix of environmentalism and libertarianism. All very expensive and a lot of time, planning, and effort to make efficient use of. Has to be a life’s passion.

    To go off the grid, or even go solar, you usually do an energy audit. After swapping out a lot of the less efficient appliances, and insulating, half of those that wanted to go off grid don’t do any thing else.
