No one claimed vampires were weak against holy symbols until the Catholic Church invaded areas involving local vampire traditions and nerfed the hell out of the vamps to make christianity seem like a great idea.

    That would be vampire folklore. You know, that whole mythology thing that’s pretty prevalent all over the world, or so I hear. If you ever read a book on the subject or even took a few seconds to hit wikipedia, you’d see that the coming of Christianity did reinterpret traditional vampire beliefs.
    
    But, I guess not everyone can be bothered with “facts” or “relevancy”.

      Yes I’ve read endlessly on vampires and Vlad and I’ve even read the German and Russian poems that are the first ever actual documentation on anything like a vampire.
      
      Or place your faith in some bullshit.
      
      Either way no Christians did not persecute vampires. In fact crucifixion was popular with Vlad the Impaler until straight up spiking them started getting better results.
      
      So if you actually did any real historical research you wouldn’t look like such a fucking moron right now.
      
      Look for facts when you want facts. Creatively treated stories that somewhat relate to where the whole idea of a vampire came from don’t count.
      
      Did you know the only reason Dracula is from Transylvania is because a Hungarian professor was chirping in Bram Stoker’s ear about the barbarous people next door when he was writing the book?
      
      How about that in 1700 BC people in that same region resorted to cannibalism because of starvation?
      
      How about that those two combined are the reason you even know what a vampire is?
      
      Did you know that Vlad the Impaler was Christian?
      
      And yes he was a real person. Jesus might have even been one too. Making silly pictures like this to insult someone because they have a religious faith is deplorable yet with certain kinds of losers it’s fashionable. No jew or muslim jokes though.
