    1. It was mostly an effort by Andrew Mellon, Randolph Hearst, and the DuPoint family. Hemp just became fairly easy to produce, and they didn’t want competition. Hearst had extensive timber holdings, and the DuPoints had recently invented nylon. Of course, that’s just for hemp, which won’t get you high.

The rest was just the Federal Bureau of Narcotics creating a reason to exist. Kind of like how the Department of Homeland Security’s only purpose seems to be scaring people. (Aaaand they probably just opened on me… or added to my already existing one).

    2. The main reason cannabis is illegal is that the major drug cartels pay the politicians to keep it illegal. The best friends the cartels have are “tough on drugs politicians” & the DEA.

    3. One acre of hemp will produce as much paper as four acres of trees, it’s true look it up

    4. Why the government still keep Prohibition ? To avoid the concurrency . Who are the real smugglers ? I dont think those few brothers are able to provide tons and tons of heavy drugs . And with legal weed, who gonna need them ?
