In Skyfall, Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.
hopefully you guys will be done with Skyrim by the time Skyfall is released. I remember how viscerally I hated Daniel Craig as Bond, and I still do not think he’s even remotely appropriate for the part, but he IS starting to grow on me a little. Just a smidge.

I liked him in Casino Royale. I think he’s doing for Bond what Christian Bale did for Batman, which I approve of.

Christian Bale gave it a nice sense of reality. Danial Craig is just a buffoon in this role.

You *have* watched the older James Bond movies, right? Anyone can improve on the role of Bond.

While Quantum of Solace, for one reason or another, was an editing disaster and a clusterfuck of a movie – I do like Craig as Bond. I think the main reason there’s resistance against him is that he makes the part of our brain that looks for patterns go apeshit when we think of memorable Bonds. Sean Connery, Roger Moore, Pierce Brosnan…. nobody was sitting around thinking, “I BET DANIEL CRAIG IS NEXT!”
Besides, I subscribe to the theory that James Bond and 007 aren’t individual people, but a unique code-name given to one agent at a time – which explains why his age jumps all over the place while people like M and Q age normally, and why Bond prattles off his name to everyone he ever meets. It makes Craig’s Bond simply feel like a modern installment in their ranks – a new millenium’s Bond.
Really, I juts hope Skyfall doesn’t end up looking like someone set the Shakey Cam to “Bourne Movie” and left out big chunks of the movie while stitching the rest together in random order again.

They’d do well to be inspired by Bourne.
Bourne is better than Bond any day of the week.

Craig brings a sincere intensity to his role as Bond. Brosnan and Moore were jokesters but Connery had a fine charm mixed in that I think Craig brings out in certain moments in the film (more so in Casino than Quantum).
