i dunno the F-22 takes a big hit when it comes to range.

The F-4 Phantom was crap really.
Had no mounted cannons / guns, and fired the relatively new Sparrow missiles, that were tracked to targets with radar.
It looks cool as shit, but a lot of pilots back then, didn’t really like them much.

A great image; too bad Obama canceled further F-22 production off at 187 airplanes, hundreds less than the Air Force had approval to buy.

The F-22 has been plagued with problems. Definitely worth canceling.

The DOD wasn’t that interested in buying them either.

Canadians still acknowledge the Queen and haven’t brought the Stanley Cup back to Canada in how long?

The creator of this pic skipped a worthwhile generation – North American’s F-86 Sabre. USAF service in 1949, almost 10,000 built. Fought MiG-15s over Korea with 6x.50 cal MGs or 4x20mm cannon.
