I don’t see the problem – a .45 doesn’t kill someone any more dead, and the reduced recoil means that you can put more rounds in if you really need to make sure.

I think I hear a lot of people bitching about something called “stopping power,” you know, just in case you’re trying to use it to bring down a rhino or some other manly activity.
Though, they’re working some new methods of recoil reduction (pieces inside the weapon that redirect the force) that will actually make .45s a workable ammunition for full autos.

They should be working on laser guns instead.

@ flickerdart & anonymoose:
Although you bring up a valid point about more rounds; the fact it more rounds are harder to defend it court, and a .45 does make a person more dead, or more correctly, more likely to be dead.
A .45 would not be my preferred carry round a .40 is. Although great strides have been made in ballistics to bring the 9mm up to snuff, the fact is that it is still a lightweight, slow moving round. A .40 is a better round, and the same ballistics improvements just make it better.

Hit-Girl in training.

9mm is fine if you know how to use your weapon. when its you or them, better to fire a volley of generally aimed shots (center body mass, with proper technique can be done without sighting) A well aimed single shot could take as long as blowing through half a magazine. The majority of lethal threat confrontations happen in very close quarters. If you go through a bunch of rounds and only a few hit your intended target (as many a law enforcement agency have proven to be the case) you need to train. a 9mm is still powerful enough to go through multiple layers of drywall and find its way to a friendly.

Peace through diminutive, yet superior firepower.

Disturbing.
Regardless of the weapon policy of a country. That’s definitive not a thing for kids!

Agreed. Not because I’m anti-gun, but because of this
