Kelly Chambers also has one of the most horrific deaths I’ve ever seen in a video game. Still haven’t figured out if it’s possible to both save her and have Legion not die, because the two seem mutually exclusive. Christ, I’m going to end up playing through the whole goddamn game again, aren’t I?

I think the fate of the crew depends on how soon you start the final mission after the option is presented. I did Legion’s loyalty quest in-between and ended up losing half of the crew – Chambers included – while others I know lost none, or all of them.
Likewise, the team depends on who is chosen for the specific tasks when you’re given the option to split up. I only lost Legion, but a friend lost half of his team.
I am, though, kind of fuzzy on the timeline as far as when it gives the option to activate Legion, and whether you even have the option before starting the final mission… if that’s what you mean, I have no clue.

chambes will die in the set of pods you come across in the final mission if you dinked around after the crew got abducted. if you headed straight there, then it’s one of the folks from Horizon that you see get turned into black pasty reaper food.

holy shit, she died that way in one of the paths? that’s nasty nasty nasty. what exactly counts as “dinking around” though, cause I don’t remember being in any particular hurry when I found her

If you do all the loyalty quests and then activate the IFF and go through the Omega-4 relay you’ll be able to save your crew, though it also depends on how upgraded your ship is and who you pick to lead each sub-mission.
