47% of the U.S population in total do not pay taxes after all government taxes and programs are considered. Some even receive money through our ridiculously complicated tax/redistribution system for doing NOTHING. In fact, a single mother with three children making minimum wage has more money to spend at the end of the year than a mother in the same position making 60k a year! It is no wonder we are in a recession, how is there supposed to be recovery when the workers have no incentive to work harder or smarter! Benjamin Franklin once said “When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic”.

Our corporate tax is poised to become the highest in the entire WORLD. In fact an Intel executive stated that it costs the company one Billion dollars more to open a plant in the United States because of the insane regulations and higher taxes. The risk takers and inventive people who work their @...$$es off and MAKE jobs by the sweat of their brow are taking the lifeblood of our country overseas!!! Yes, Obama lowered taxes for all people who make less than 250k but the people who make more than 250k include 80 % of all small business owners! I have heard painfully sad stories about these small business owners or prospect entrepreneurs who would absolutely LOVE to expand their business but they are forced to downsize and are almost brought to tears when they make impossible decisions on who to fire.

The tax code is 72 thousand pages long, it is a monolith incomprehensible even by specialized experts. It is the product of necked opportunist politicians receiving money in return for tax advantages. The corporations have no choice but to play the game of politics. In fact GE, in total, payed no taxes whatsoever. Not even the IRS knows the tax code. The tax court is somewhat like the mid-evil courts where you are guilty until proven innocent.

An alternative to this corrupt and broken tax system is the Fair Tax. The Fair Tax gets rid of most of the federal taxes and replaces them with a federal retail sales tax of about 23% it would not change the amount of money taken in but only how it was taken in. A pre-bate is also included so that people are not taxed on necessities up to the poverty level. In a survey of 500 foreign companies 400 of them would build their next plant in the U.S. if they implemented the Fair Tax and the last 100 would relocate their company and move here altogether. I could go on and on about the benefits and details about the Fair Tax.

The Fair Tax would be real stimulus for the American economy. Trillions of dollars chased away by our anti business practices would flow back into the us as it becomes a favorable place to start a business, take risks and create jobs. However, because of the entrenched interests in Washington who have invested millions into shaping the corrupt tax code we have today the only way that the Fair Tax would get passed is if the politicians knew that they could not be re-elected unless they supported the fair tax.

I understand that this website is somewhat liberal. Nevertheless, I hope that somewhere someone will see my reasoning and consider what I have said. I am not a Republican, I would describe myself as a libertarian/independent and I do not dislike Republicans or Democrats. I only dislike the Republican and Democrat politicians. I am tired of people mindlessly insulting each other because of party affiliations. I dream of the day where people will listen to reasoning and not be bigoted to things like party names. Maybe I am rambling too much, maybe no one will see this. I hope not, but if so…*copy* *paste*
