The model looks mildly familiar… Does anyone happen to know who she is?

Your Mother!

I only wish my mom was that hot – if she was I’d be better looking, too!
April 28, 2011 at 5:04 pm
Are you aware of the saying: ugly parents make beautiful children?
April 28, 2011 at 7:30 pm
If you believe that, I have some cake for you.
April 28, 2011 at 12:08 pm
Hot.
Very Hot.
Is that paint on her arm or a tattoo?
April 28, 2011 at 2:35 pm
It’s a birthmark.

Pocahontas wasn’t her name, it was a nickname – it meant “little hellion” or “little troublemaker” in the Powhatan language. Her birth name was Matoaka
And when Captain John Smith knew her, she was twelve years old.
By the time she was as old as the model she was married to an Englishman, John Rolfe, and living in England, where she wore traditional English clothing of the time. She also changed her name to Rebecca Rolfe.
This is what she actually looked like at the age of 21 – upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/5/5c/Pocahontas_by_Simon_van_de_Passe_1616.jpg/225px-Pocahontas_by_Simon_van_de_Passe_1616.jpg
The border says “Matoaka alias Rebecca Imperial Princess of the Powhatans of Virginia”

You clearly can’t paint with all the colours of the wind.
April 28, 2011 at 6:55 pm
Why didn’t you just post the wiki link you referenced instead of trying to look smart?
April 29, 2011 at 2:09 pm
Actually, I knew most of it, there was a special on PBS about it a while ago. I just used Wikipedia for the image.
Here’s a link to the PBS special – www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/pocahontas/
Smart people watch PBS – you might try it sometime.

Seeing as the intent was “to make the character from the animated film come to life,” I’d say “good job.” Fuck history.
