I do love how Randall had done more to make radiation easier to understand that a hundred newspaper journalists.
I have a documented 1470 micro sieverts (147 millirem) from industrial sources.
Even with what has been released, this is still less than what would have released over the lifetime of an equivalent coal plant.
Much of the hysteria was that the area around the plant would become unlivable due to radiation, but as a byproduct of coal some town have become nearly unlivable.

There are some areas around me (WV panhandle) that still have a blackened, almost burnt, look to them, even though there hasn’t been any coal mining here in decades.
