I’m PRETTY sure that the bullet and gun would be completely white on the xray. also, the gas escaping the barrel wouldn’t show up.

Well, there may be barrell and bullet fragments leaving the barrel as well as any metal particles in the powder. However I do believe there would be more fracturing in the foot from the pressure exerted by the gas as the bullet leaves the chamber, as well as deformation of the projectile.
