  1. My first thought was Command & Conquer, but it could also be from Supreme Commander, anyone know?

  2. tiberian wars GDI campaign?

  3. Definitely Command and Conquer.

Calling the player “Commander” with no other aliases or names is a CnC trademark.

The beginning to all the games always starts with “Welcome back, Commander”. Sometimes in the game intro, or sometimes in the installation. (Except the first one I think. Can’t remember)

  4. Whopper: How about a nice game of chess?
Snotty Hacker Geek: Maybe later, Let’s play Global Thermo Nuclear War…

This screen shot is specifically from Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars, campaign introduction for the GDI faction. The phrase has also been used in Tiberian Sun, in the intro sequence that plays when you first load up the game after installing it.

Cannot remember from where I heard/read, that C&C made this phrase popular. Don’t quote me on this; I don’t have evidence to prove.
