Americans have far healthier competition in the decent sammich area – English just tollerate god awful refridgerator flavour $65 (£3.50..) shit, even subway sucks balls.

Agree on Pat’s over Geno’s. But I would take Jim’s on South Street over both. To this day though my absolute favorite is from Chink’s on Torresdale in the Northeast. In fact, now I must submit an image of said establishment.

If you’re ever in Rapid City, SD, stop in at Philly Ted’s Ted is from Philly, and bakes his own rolls, uses Cheez Whiz, all grill top cooked steak. He has pictures of Pat’s and Geno’s up on the wall, as well as several letters from Philadelphians who have eaten there and think his are the best theyve ever had. You can watch his TV commercial at his website. If you check out the menu, you can see his NFL themed Cheesesteak selections.

Dang good eatin. I recommend the Packer: a 3-cheese steak, and add grilled onions and garlic. Mahvelous.
