brooklyn brewery as the NY beer. I’d rather drink aids out of the nyc harbor

I live across the street from the High Point Brewery.

Lies and fucking slander! I’ve never even heard of Yazoo.
February 11, 2011 at 12:20 am
OK so Yazoo Dos Perros Ale is pretty fucking tasty. I am a little amazed that I’ve never had this delicious business before; I’ll definitely have to try their other varieties. Hopefully they have a summer lager.

Pretty good picks for most of the western states that I’m familiar with.

Coors isn’t the Beer in Colorado?
February 10, 2011 at 2:16 pm
The chart is wrong for Massachusetts; Sam Adams is not brewed in that state. In fact the ONLY Brewery in Boston is Harpoon.

Shiner is a damn fine choice for Texas, and probably the most obvious. We’ve got 24 other breweries cranking out pretty good beers as well.

Natty?! Natty?! There’s only one reason anyone used to buy natty ice in WV, it’s 6% alcohol. Until recently that was the highest allowed in the state. W/ that restriction gone there are a couple of good local breweries. Right now Mountaineer is my fave.

Haha, WV gets stuck with Natty, the worst fucking beer on the planet. I refused to drink it for free when offered it in college!

That’s not entirely true, it’s great for cleaning engines and concrete sidewalks & driveways.

I’m a little over an hour away from the Stone Brewery and have riddin there twice with some friends on the moto cycles. Both times I got a growler of IPA, a growler of Arrogant Bastard, and 4 large bottles of Double Bastard in a backpack that sits nicely on the backseat of the harley. I like strong beer, and love ridin, so these weekend beer runs are a blast.

FUCK YEAH KETTLEHOUSE, you gotta love any brewery with a Porter made with hemp seed and dubbed Olde Bongwater.

Widmir is so much better than black butte…. (Oregon beer)
February 11, 2011 at 1:41 pm
I agree, Widmir Hefe is the best
of course we also have more brewerys here than any other place in the world. Portland Oregon is considered the Beer Mecca of the World.
The largest producers in Oregon, all of which are high-volume American breweries, are:
Deschutes Brewery, Bend
Rogue Ales, Newport
Widmer Brothers Brewery, Portland
BridgePort Brewing Company, Portland
The McMenamins brewpub chain
Full Sail Brewing Company, Hood River
of course for a real list go to oregonbeer.org/breweries/

Does anyone know the connection between Utah and Epic? I ask because it’s a New Zealand made beer…
