    2. 1) The 111th Congress was one of the most productive in history (especially considering the handicaps on the Senate these days). You might not like his accomplishments, but as President and leader of the Democratic Party, Obama’s gotten a shit ton of things done.

      2) He hasn’t stopped any Iranian nukes because they aren’t close to getting any yet. Besides, North Korea now HAS nuclear weapons, and got them on Bush’s watch, but I don’t hear anybody complaining about that.

      3) Wait a minute… don’t Republicans say that government doesn’t create jobs, only the private sector? So why’s everyone expecting Obama to create jobs?

      • 1. Productive? Im not sure more laws are necessarily productive.

        2. Stuxnet FTW!

        3. So if everyone believes something, it has to be right.

Its been a couple of decades since weve had a President worth a damn.

The gage of productivity is what the laws accomplish.

The point is that the volume of laws produced has no bearing on productivity.

          2. Referencing a computer virus that hit Iran in 2010 does not directly address the statement that Korea obtained Nuclear weapons. Sorry, your non sequitur answer fails to address the point directly. You have failed basic logic.

          3. So are you saying it’s wrong for people to expect Obama to create jobs? Say what you mean, instead of speaking in platitudes.

          • 1. Congress also controls the budget and can declare war. As a matter of fact, we are at war because of Congress. The president does not have the power to declare war without them.
            2. The initial point was regarding Iranian nukes, not Korean nukes or Martian Invasions. So arguing that the person debating failed basic logic because he didn’t address Korea obtaining nukes is nothing except a personal attack.
            3. Arguments should be based on the statement and not on the person making them.

For the record, Obama and Congress should be responsible for creating jobs. They do this by stimulating the economy. This in turn allows the private sector to hire more people.

            • 1. And congress can’t declare war if the president vetos it.

Perhaps it would have been more accurate to say congress can pass bills.

It’s irrelevant to the discussion though, since the subject is the productivity of the congress.

              2. You don’t know what a personal attack is. A personal attack, or an ad hominem if you will, would be me saying that you’re stinky and you touch kids, therefore you are wrong about Iran.

              Read and learn:
              en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ad_hominem

I was criticizing nimbo’s response, not him.

              3. I did base my argument on his statement. So you have no point.

            • @Sambo:
              1. I was addressing you comments, not his. And your first comment left out War and the Budget. You amended it, but you still have left out the budget. While it’s true that these all start as bills, laws, war and the budget are all very separate things. Whether the president vetoes it or not is irreverent, he can veto laws and refuse to sign the budget as well. It’s all part of the checks and balances.
2.”Say what you mean, instead of speaking in platitudes.” That reads like a personal attack to me. Tell me how “Sorry, your non sequitur answer fails to address the point directly. You have failed basic logic.” is not a criticism of the person. Another example of an ad hominem would be me saying you should read the definition your linking to instead of trying to throw your lack of hygiene and pedophilia on me.
              3. No you didn’t as I’ve already mentioned above. I’ve already said as much in my 2nd point.

              1. Your working very hard to build a strawman argument, so I don’t even think this needs to be addressed.

              2. Pointing out that nimbo didn’t address a point is in no way a personal attack.

You’re just trying to deflect legitimate criticism by creating another argument.

And as for you making an issue over “personal criticisms”, big fucking deal. Last time I checked there is nothing inherently wrong with criticism of someone.

The only problem is when the criticism becomes an Ad hominem attack.

              3. I directly addressed his statement. That is in no way a personal attack I criticized his statement.

I can’t hold your hand and walk you through this slowly any more than this.

I have a news flash for you. You and the people you agree with are not above criticism. You are not special little butterflies that need to be treated with the utmost care. If you say something I disagree with, I’ll say something about it.

You don’t see me getting hyper sensitive because you criticized me, do you? I not crying ZOMG PERSONAL ATTACKS am I?

              Now grow up.

I’m feeling pretty good, actually. I’m just pointing out where crewmanguy is mistaken on a few things.

I see you can resist showing up and acting like a child. You do know you garbage doesn’t work on anyone over 14, right?

BTW, I notice how conspicuous it is that you avoided my question about whether or not you are gay.

I mean, usually overly homophobic people turn out to be gay, so it would surprise me if you are gay.

I hold nothing against you if you are. It’s ok. Admitting to being gay might lead to a certain amount of personal growth that you desperately need.

Thanks for making more orders you fucking loser. You asked a question…so? Nobody here takes you any more seriously than people in your sad little real life do. Order and ask away. You’re only in charge of how bad you make yourself look and nothing else.

No go ahead and say I’m gay again. Insult me you fucking faggot. Oh when I say faggot I don’t mean sexual preference. You act like a faggot. Its no sexual preference related.

You can be gay. But you don’t have to be a faggot. This has been covered. Though I’dstill laugh if you got AIDS.

“Can I get a count on how many assholes have come through here never realizing that by calling someone gay as an attack/insult they’re exposing their own homophobia?”

You call people gay all the time. Therefore by you’re logic you are a homophobe. Thanks for proving my point.

Besides, I didn’t call you gay. I asked if you are and you overreacted as usual.

“Roughly the same number who can’t get their heads around how bad they’re making themselves look.”

You should look in a mirror.

“Thanks for making more orders you fucking loser. You asked a question…so? Nobody here takes you any more seriously than people in your sad little real life do. Order and ask away. You’re only in charge of how bad you make yourself look and nothing else.”

I didn’t give you any orders. I asked a question. A question is not an order.

You would probably find it easier to communicate if you developed better word comprehension.

“No go ahead and say I’m gay again. Insult me you fucking faggot.”

If you’re not homophobic, why is do you consider it an insult to be called gay?

I was asking an honest question. I think you protest too much.

” Oh when I say faggot I don’t mean sexual preference. You act like a faggot. Its no sexual preference related.”

Don’t BS. You use a term for gay people in a derogatory term.

And stop trying to hide by making up a new definition for a word.

“You can be gay. But you don’t have to be a faggot. This has been covered. Though I’d still laugh if you got AIDS.”

Do you know words have meanings? And you can’t just make up new meanings?

              Fail.

    4. 0 jobs created? Really, in two years not ONE job has been created in the US?

I see Obama’s critics have fully separated from reality.

More jobs have been created under Obama in 2 years than the entirety of Bush’s presidency.

This is a fact. You can not change it.

I understand that politics is all about distorting the truth, but saying ZERO jobs is a lie that is so absurd it’s unreal.

Nancy Pelosi said so? Well then…lol

All three links were basically the same snow job bullshit.

If a Bush employee went out and drafted a biased chart that showed he saved America you’d all call it bullshit but Obama does the same thing and its accepted as the Gospel.

This is why I can’t stand the left side of politics. It doesn’t just bullshit. It only bullshits.

If you want proof of what Obama has done to America its best to travel around America and look at the boarded up city cores and people destitute. That is 100% the fault of HIS politics. The lack of certainty in his ability to lead and his confirmation of that doubt by being inept pushes foreign investment away. It devalues your currency and he’s been nothing more than a figurehead for a government out to serve its own agenda and warp public spending to make short term benefits for a small and damaging minority of people.

Oh, right, I’m talking to Navi here.

You obviously don’t live in America.

Corporate profits are up. So is wall street. Unemployed is falling.

The GDP has grown steadily in the last two years.

The sad thing is how unbelievably petty you are. You spread misinformation with every breath. You preach gloom and doom every chance you get.

If you were really concerned with the uncertainty in this country, maybe you shouldn’t go around spreading misinformation.

You’re complicit in spreading that “uncertainty” you talk about.

            • You may not choose to give credence to those links, but I see none more serious backing your statements. The problem is, in part, that the people (in the US) who hold the same views or ideology as you don’t believe that they need to prove their statements…so we have none.

How Did So Many Republicans End Up Believing Falsehoods About Obama?

btw don’t register your guns. Up here they already do the confiscation part. You don’t even get money for them. They call you randomly and say ‘tomorrow two officers will come to your house to collect your guns’. You can own a shotgun if its locked in a case with a trigger lock. They’re trying now to take away that right as well.

The rest I think are reactionary tactics to the same level of bullshitting the left has done forever. Since Carter. Its not right but I don’t know how else to combat brainwashing. The rules were set by the people complaining about them now that’s for sure. The existence of that video is proof of that.

        • The bulk of the jobs lost during the Obama administration were during the first six months, and as a direct result of the Bush administration’s mismanagement of the economy.

Don’t forget, the recession started in 2007 before Obama was even a candidate.

It’s a well known fact that job losses have steadily decreased under Obama.

And for the total jobs lost, that’s total bullshit. Total jobs lost under Obama is still under the total lost under Bush in the last two years of his presidency.

Based on the Wall Street Journal article preview (I don’t have a sub so I can’t read the whole thing) I’d say Obama created anywhere from 420,000 to 1,452,000 jobs in the last 12 months. (based on 36,000 being the lowest month & 121,000 being the highest, I know the article doesn’t say that but those are the only hard numbers given)
If anyone does have access to WSJ and can give a more exact number, please do.
