The bird looks fine in comparison to the moss. The snake is either shooped, or actually really tiny.

and the poor bird wouldn’t survive any confrontation with, well, just about anything. Snake, larger insect, backyard pet, human hand, wall, etc.
On GooTube, you can find videos of praying mantises which hunt, kill and eat the fragile things. *sob*
