nice gun, FNH makes great guns. in fact I bought a FNX-9 a little over a month ago, maybe I’ll post pics later. it looks a lot like your with a few changes.

Very similar to the XD Springfield Armory but less expensive(It got this one for 400 Bucks).

it doesn’t have that grip safety like the XD does it? The pics don’t look like it, and I prefer this better as that safety mechanism always pinches my hand. Sorry i’m late to the party! A good gunsmith should be able to de-burr your trigger mechanism for ya (my first and only attempt became a very expensive mistake) to smoothen that trigger pull for ya. My new P99-AS has a reset that a sneeze could set off.

Very nice. I carry an XDm 9mm ’cause it holds 19+1. I figure if I ever have to use it in anger, I’ll need as many rounds between reloads as possible.
(BTW, it’s a magazine… not a clip.)

It goes up through the magazine housing (grip) and out the top to keep the slide from closing the chamber completely.
It doesn’t have much to do with the trigger.

I stole 2 bikes that had gun locks.
those things are super easy to break off.
Didn’t know they were gun locks at the time though – just thought they were some shitty lock from dollar store or something.
If you want to break those off, just simply get a screw driver and twist.
Bolt cutters would work too if you have them.
Alternatively, just force the lock part in something so it can’t move, then use the gun as the lever.

Ever have someone try to break into your house? Ever have it happen when you were home? Add to it that your sleeping wife and kids are nearby. or try walking out of the bank on payday and as you go to get in your car 4 guys start to head straight for you. as you haul ass away from there you hear one of them hollering “we weren’t gonna rob you or anything.”

Alternatively, you could just have a 12-gauge. I would feel safer with a few fists full of 00 buckshot over a handgun any day of the week. And as we are talking about home defense, conceal-ability is not the concern, stopping power and intimidation factor are key, and a shotgun does both of those rather well.
