One of the classic Pauly Shore movies. Some of his other greats are: Son In Law (His best film), In The Army Now and Bio-Dome.
“Weeze the juice!” “Bu-udy”
Encino Man is one of the better corny California flicks out there too, along with Airborne, Summer School and Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

I have to wonder about the legality of using the word “classic” to describe anything about Pauly Shore. But, Encino Man was a fun movie.

I am a huge movie geek and a child of the late 80′s. Classic definitely describes this film.

Wait… Airborne, as in starring Seth Green? It’s set in Ohio, I think. Hence the no surfing. I’m a bit disturbed I remember this off the top of my head so easily.

You are half correct about Airborne. The film ends up in Ohio. But the main character is from Southern California and he surfs in the opening credits, as well as talks about surfing through out the film.

True, but most was set in Ohio. The final race was one of the most awesome races on film, probably the best non-vehicle race ever. Now I really want to see this movie again.
Chocolate stain Blane.

I couldn’t agree more with that list. I once saw Pauly Shore walking while I was driving down Sunset Blvd with my gf and a friend. I stuck my head out the window and yelled, “Hey Buuuud-dy! No weezing the j-uice!” He smiled, and did that wavy hand thing that he does to me and shouted back, “Owwwwww!”
Man, that made my day, what a cool guy!

One of Brendan Fraser’s finer works.

I can only think of one other great film of his: The Mummy.
