I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE SEQUEL OH GOD
October 26, 2010 at 7:44 am
looks like you in some weird way
October 26, 2010 at 6:05 pm
Oh you Charmeur! I’ve been already planning on chopping off my hair and putting this costume together. All I need is light green contact lenses and to stay pale.
October 27, 2010 at 8:22 am
Have you thought about these ?
btw… if you plan to cut it awfully short, your hair that is. Don’t do it.

Turquoise is my favourite colour, also I’m colour blind and it looks blue not green to me. ):
I guess I will have to get the turquoise ones though since they look green to everyone else.
But why? I’ve been trying to cut my hair for a while now but I can’t do it. If I do it though, I want to cut it at least to shoulder length so that I have at least once in my life shorter hair and then never again. Do you think it won’t suit me?
October 27, 2010 at 6:30 pm
You’re not colorblind, I’m sure you know that turquoise is like a greenish blue. I got mines for Halloween, but i still don’t know what i’m going to be yet. Ummm.. Starburst green looks really nice
About the hair..yeah.. I haven’t seen a recent picture of you to imagine the hair length that you would want. The feeling I get is that you want to try something new, but you are a teeny bit afraid of the outcome, not 100% sure you will like the results, in my own opinion of course.

Uh yeah I am colour blind. I was tested by a doctor. All my life I thought turquoise was blue and fought with people that said it was green. The only reason why I knew that the picture you linked had turquoise was because it had the name of the colour written on it. Turquoise is just one shade I can’t tell apart from other blues. I can’t tell darker shades apart or red from orange, pink from beige, etc.
So you got contacts too? That’s awesome, I’d wear them just like that, but the only character you have something in common with that has that eye colour is this one guy I saw in Tekken – the film from 2010. He’s not a character from the game though.
My hair is still as long as it was in the latest photos I posted on MCS.

Oh and I’m deathly afraid of cutting my hair, I’ve always had long hair so I feel like I’m going to die. But I’d like to have shorter hair at least once in my life.
October 27, 2010 at 8:59 pm
I wish i was “allowed” to grow my hair long, My study forbids me to do so. If you always had long hair you should definitely try shoulder cut hair as you mentioned. If anything your hair will always grow back longer if you don’t like it and since winter is around the corner you have an excuse to wear a hat to cover IF you don’t like it.
Not to rub it in but that sucks to be color blind :\. When I look at the gemstone i cannot decide if it’s more green or more blue-ish, Meh.
It’s funny because the reason i bought the contacts was to wear them casually. I’m not really used to contacts, one time i spend 30 mins trying to put it on my eye and still failed. I stopped trying for a while thou, but one day i will manage to get them on.
:\ why am i up so late? :\

The original was pretty good, but suffered from weapon imbalance. Still, an interesting take on Wonderland.
October 26, 2010 at 6:10 pm
Weapon imbalance as in not enough weapons or not enough “ammunition?” If it’s the first, I was more than satisfied, each weapon was so so much fun. If it’s the latter, I thought that was on purpose, like in Silent Hill. I died a bazillion times so I had to save the game almost every five minutes but I loved it. Sometimes I would die on purpose just to see how I would get killed. And the soundtrack blew my mind, I downloaded it afterwards and am listening to it almost every day.

You shouldn’t put a horseshoe upside down, it makes in unlucky.
October 26, 2010 at 2:44 pm
I get most of the symbolism in this, but what’s with the Omega?
October 26, 2010 at 4:22 pm
It is a horseshoe.
October 26, 2010 at 4:34 pm
Wrong. Omega.
October 26, 2010 at 5:09 pm
Each character card has it’s own symbol. The Cheshire Cat has Alpha, the Hatter has mercury (clever), the White Rabbit has Sol, and that weird franken-rabbit has Saturn. The others I’m not sure of. Anyone know if these are random or have some meaning? Where did this image come from?
October 26, 2010 at 6:21 pm
There’s been some debate about that. Both an omega and horseshoe make sense. The horseshoe because of what Luke said, it means bad luck if it’s upside down and Alice has nothing but bad luck in this game. The omega however matches with her apron, she has all kinds of runes on it.
Omega means great, which Alice is supposed to be. The cat has alpha because in the game he’s the most important companion to Alice, they’re like partners, “the beginning and the end.” The Hatter has mercury because of the history of hatters, they became crazy from the mercury. So the meanings are not all metaphorical, some are literal.
October 26, 2010 at 7:30 pm
Yeah, I got the Hatter bit.
Runes on her apron?
October 26, 2010 at 7:50 pm
I know, I just typed the Hatter bit out for comparison.
Yes, she has symbols on it, here are the regular ones:

And I think when she takes the rage thing it becomes not only bloody but also adds other runes in red. If not, I’ve seen bloody runes somewhere in the game for sure.

Also interesting to note, the runic alphabet is related to alpha and omega.

Ohhhh, this is from a game.
I now feel really dumb.

American McGee’s Alice, great game, one of the few original games i ever bought. Interesting, i’ve always dreamed of a sequel but i didn’t thought it possible.
October 27, 2010 at 4:48 pm
Oh I didn’t even notice the picture had everything you needed to know so I assumed you knew the game. Like Kamakiri said, it’s so so good.
