He’d been gone a couple of days and we found him in the front garden with an obviously broken leg and rushed him to the vet.
When they tried to fix up his leg the bone was broken into 11 pieces.
Now he’s a tripod and not pleased with us. Particularly owing to the bucket on his head that stops him from ripping out the stitches.

Poor little guy =(
This is one reason we don’t let our cats outside, too many coyotes and bears around the area. We already have one two many amputations in the house.
I hope he heals up quickly, and without issue!

We have a cat that lost the same leg. He’ll be rough and really awkward for a few weeks but he’ll amaze you with his recovery.

My sister has a three-legged dog, but the missing limb was a front right leg. Animals can function very well even if they have just three legs.

Get him a peg leg, then you’ll be the only person in your neighborhood to have a pirate cat!

That would be beyond awesome. Hope he’s recovered soon.

He’ll be okay in time and I bet he will still be a mouser. He may take some time to forgive you, though. Cats tend to hold a grudge.
