Picked this up for $110 with $50 mail in rebate.
Frys honors rebates, even if the manufacturer doesn’t.
Can’t wait to see what an improvement to GTAIV this thing makes.

I’m sorry, but Saints Row 2 kinda sucked ass. It was like playing a GTA that is constantly glitching. Didn’t feel right at all when I was playing it.

Fry’s is very notorious for not returning MIR’s. So 4+ months from now if you get the check you’ll have to post it.

Yeah I am starting to realize that and I’m never doing mail in rebated again.
I have got the rebates back on time with no problem at all for a couple of $15 MIR’s.
The LCD touch screen temp/fan control touch-1000 by aerocool went through – costing me only $10 compared to $50 on newegg.
But I took the card back for 2 reasons:
Most important: It just DIED when I ran furmark reliability test on it. Crapped out at about 80C.
#2: rebates of $50 don’t seem to want to be honored.
I will not forget my $50 for this case and I will get the money for it eventually.

Not going to help at all. Game still runs pretty lousy on a GTX 260 without turning most of the settings down.

If he will buy two/three generations old tech, more fool him.
I like the point where he says ‘Quad Core’ coming at the weekend. Could be anything from a Phenom X4 to a Core i7-950 for all we know. Let’s just hope he pays enough for a 950 to get a PhX4, eh?

I’ve decided to just wait till I can afford an SLI/xfire board and ram first.
Then I will get 2 moderate 1gb cards.
No point in staying with a mobo that only has one pciex16 and 95w cpu max and ddr2 ram.
