Pilot Capt. Brian Bews ejects as his a CF-18 fighter jet plummets to the ground during a practice flight at the Lethbridge County Airport on Friday, July 23 for the weekend airshow in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. The pilot was taken to Chinook Regional Hospital with undetermined injuries.

  6. ejection can end a pilot’s career… the spinal compression from the rockets in the ejector seat is enough to cause paralysis and even if you’re lucky you can probably only do it at most twice in your career before you’re deemed unfit for piloting. medicine is catching up, however…

  8. A friend of mine wanted to take me to this show, I declined cause I went to Sylvan Lake instead (yeah, it was named after me absolutely).

    Anyway, shitty deal this was. Poor fighter jet… it’s machine spirit is downing bogies in Fighter Jet Valhalla now.
